* Apply and submit Supporting Application Documents by (extended) May 15, 2026, to be considered for an early enrolment incentive of $1,025 (tuition fee of $10,250). Candidates who submit exceptional applications and perform well in interviews are eligible for early enrolment incentives.

Supporting Application Documents

In addition to the online application form, applicants must provide these supporting documents:

  • Letter of intent (maximum 500 words)
  • Professional curriculum vitae
  • Submit 2 letters of support, sent directly by the writers
  • One letter should come from the applicant’s supporting institution or department.
  • One letter should come from a rheumatologist or orthopaedic surgeon identifying the applicant’s clinical and academic strengths.

Selection Process

We look for the following in our selection process:

  • Applicants must have PT, OT, RN/NP, or chiropractor designation which will be considered at the discretion of the Program Directors.
  • Minimum 3 years broad experience following completion of an accredited, entry-to-practice program in respective health profession plus 2 years further experience in clinical specialist musculoskeletal/arthritis areas.
  • Currently working in, or committed to working in, a shared-care interprofessional environment.

Applicants must be members in good standing of their respective college/regulatory body at a provincial level and demonstrate proof of professional liability insurance that covers activities in the ACPAC program.

Applicants successfully admitted into the program are responsible for complying with the policies and code of conduct in place at their respective individual placement sites.

Prospective applicants may find the following programs beneficial as they build their foundation of knowledge and prepare their application to ACPAC.

Clinical Practice Skills for Inflammatory Arthritis (CPSIA)
Offered by Arthritis Society Canada

This hybrid program progressively develops the participants’ clinical practice skills over a 5-day period through a blend of online, didactic, interactive and experiential learning on the most prevalent arthritis conditions.

Arthritis Continuing Education (ACE) Program
Offered by the Mary Pack Arthritis Program

An “introduction to the assessment and management of rheumatic diseases” course for nurses, physical therapists & occupational therapists. This 4-day course provides evidence-informed best practices in the assessment and management of common rheumatic conditions.

Rheumatology Bootcamp 101: Assessment & Management of Rheumatic Disease
Offered by Rheum Academy

This comprehensive 4-day hybrid course delivers approximately 22 hours of live, expert-led training, supported by 6-10 hours of preparatory materials covering optimal evidence-based clinical practices in arthritis management.
