Component II- Advanced Assessment and Management Integrative Sessions

Format: Integrative Sessions (150 + hours)

Goal: To effectively identify and incorporate into the ACPAC curriculum the most current clinical science concepts and knowledge that are the underpinnings of advanced musculoskeletal practice.

This component will incorporate applied concepts essential in the advanced assessment, investigation, evaluation and monitoring of patients with arthritis including history taking and physical examination, approach to the whole patient (identifying illness and the unwell patient, red flags), charting and reporting, approach to laboratory evaluation, approach to radiology/diagnostic imaging, triage and more.

These sessions will involve clinical vignettes, case reports, x-rays rounds, individual and group presentations, and opportunity for observation of surgery.
