Component IV- Health Promotion, Advocacy and Leadership in Arthritis and Musculoskeletal Care

(50 hours)

Goal: To effectively identify and incorporate into the ACPAC curriculum the most current therapeutic management concepts and knowledge as they relate to advanced musculoskeletal practice.

This component will include topics such as interprofessional collaboration and roles of other health professions in arthritis care, psychosocial considerations in the management of arthritis, outcome measurement, technology and health sciences information, community resources, research, public policy, advocacy, model of care development and more.

ACPAC trainees are strongly encouraged to become members of the Arthritis Health Professions Association (AHPA) with membership in the ACPAC Special Interest Group, a volunteer group of ACPAC Program graduates who focus on leadership, advocacy, ongoing education, and research.
